The diploma thesis deals with design of a 9-hole golf course in the village of Prusy with the aim to improve tourism in the locality, which is based on a comprehensive analysis of the selected area. The theme of construction and design of golf courses, and its impact on the landscape is demanding not only on investment, but also on time and knowledge. Our proposed area is located near the Prusy Water Reservoir, the area is surrounded by fields and area offers a view of the surrounding hills. We mainly focus on the design of the golf course itself, which should be handled according to the recommended customized rules for inclinations, location of obstacles, PAR length and selection of grass mixtures. In addition to a 9-hole course, a club house, a car park and a farm house, the complex design is enriched with training areas and the incorporation of attractions and elements for non-players to reach as many people as possible. An important part of the thesis is also a marketing plan that will help us to increase the attendance of the designed golf area.
