This thesis focuses on the functional implementation of soft bounds in an optimization problem that is used in an advanced industrial controller. The goal is to create a duplicate of the APC model of the BFCCU2C1 controller, which is involved in the control of the 13C201 column in the Slovnaft company. Analyzing the results obtained by minimizing optimization problems, the user is provided with information about the effectiveness of setting the boundaries of the controlled process or the influence of Lagrange multipliers on the prioritization of the manipulation of the boundaries, including the development of values in a specific time frame. The application of different user environments leads to more intuitive handling of the program, ensuring the required calculations.
