The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine the influence of combustible materials on the fire safety of a warehouse in a single-storey building. We chose four types of combustible materials, wooden pallets, cartons, plastic parts and foam foam, each weighing 10,000 kg, for storage. We performed the calculation of fire safety solutions of the building manually, using two main regulations, such as the Decree of MV SR no. 94/2004 Coll., Which lays down technical requirements for fire safety during construction and use of buildings, as amended, and STN 92 0201-1: 2000 Fire safety of buildings Common provisions. section1: Fire risk, size of fire section. As a result of the calculations, we found out that we cannot store plastic parts and foam foam with a specified weight of 10,000 kg in a designated warehouse in a single-storey building. In accordance with fire protection legislation, an electric fire alarm system and a device for heat and combustion products would have to be installed in the building for the given materials. Wooden pallets and cartons can be stored without changing the warehouse in a single-storey building.
