The thesis is focused on solution of the area Slnečný vrch in Devínska Nová Ves. The designed area is located on the periphery of Bratislava. The main idea of the urban design is to create a connection to the existing development by prioritizing public transport. The urban design is based on the principles of ecologically motivated architecture. The newly established residential area respects the surrounding physical, cultural and social environment with its composition. Within the solved area is located a selected facility object - an elementary school. In the design of the school is the main idea a close contact with nature and creating a visual and direct contact between the classes and outdoor environment. It was needed to get acquainted with the created situation and evaluate the advantages and limits of the land. The location of the land and its focus on nature influenced the location and the direction of individual parts of the building. An important factor in design is to respect the existing scenery and the slightly sloping terrain. The school building is placed in the terrain and it is creating two levels of access to the building in collaboration with environment. The elementary school is formed of one three-storey building. Due to the height of the groundwater there is no basement. The main entrance is on the east side of the building at the first floor, the supply entrance is on the north side, at the second floor. The classes are oriented to the southwest and southeast. The capacity of the school consists of two classes for each grade. The vertical bearing elements are a combination of concrete columns and bearing walls. The establishment of the building is designed to be foundation belts and beads. The horizontal bearing elements are no-beams reinforced concrete roofs. The design was developed at the level of architectural study.
