The thesis is dealing with reevaluation of stereotypes and standards in interior design according to contemporary state of art in human sciences (psychology, sociology, medicine, ergonomics etc.). The knowledge should be considered by creating and human environment (microenvironment) because of the public health state and presence of civilization diseases. Design thus should be serving as a therapy. The thesis consisted of literature studies, consultations with experts from human sciences field and own field research (test of comforts and behavioral field research). Skeleton of the thesis is the individual complex diagnostics of a user including health problems, social and working anamnesis and sensual, emotional and rational preferences and thus it is contributing to the individualization of creating a personal space for users. It is also analyzing methods of behavioral research as an important part of human centered design/body conscious design. Habilitation work is part of research project APVV 0278-07 and it is serving like an initial study material (and future school book) for course Humanization of microenvironment -- Body Conscious Design.
