The main target of my final thesis was to design a Nearly Zero Energy Building in Bratislava, Petrzalka district by the Panónksa road. The situation of the parcel is between two streets: the Panónska road and Jasovká street. The parcel is mostly flat with rectangular-shaped buildings , the main building is located in the middle of parcel. The main idea was find answer on question, if it is possible to create a building with zero energy consumption in town center and find new aesthetic value. Almost zero house should produce power for himself or nearby. The focus was therefore on energy profits that site offers, such as solar power energy and energy of environment. The shape of the building is based on a simple block shape that is tapered from the southwest side due to sun sunlit opposite standing building while creating an ideal area for solar gains. Protruding glass facades makes a buffer against traffic noise while creating passive solar gains. Functionally, the object is divided into the commercial part of the ground floor, residential part of the upper floors and parking buildings and technical facilities in the underground part of the building. The flat roof of the building would be covered with photovoltaic panels. Building should meet the passive standard conditions using air recovery, which would minimize heat loss during ventilation . As a result is pure material with a functioning operation .
