This thesis deals with the solution of a deep vacant lot on 29. augusta street in Bratislava. The proposal integrates the tall brick chimney reminiscent of industrial past of the site. A proposed building serves as a cultural and social centre with a hostel. It divides a building to spaces with varying degrees of intimacy and allows different spatial experiences. The centre offers facilities for culture and leisure activities. It includes a gallery, small commercial spaces, workspaces, multifunctional hall with exterior auditorium, bistro and small fitness centre. Hostel part allows a pleasant rest for visitors of Bratislava. On the upper floors, there are apartments with terraces. Generous sunny terraces provide a nice place to relax outdoors and to organize little social events . The study partly solves the lack of parking spaces by underground parking system.
