This bachelor thesis deals with the current state of green business in Slovakia and introducing the principles of said green business in small and medium enterprises within the Slovak Republic. Green business encompasses economic, environmental and social aspects. The introduction of green business is a trend that should be followed by individual SMEs, while the above principles should help them to introduce new products and services that are in line with the principles of green business, giving them a competitive advantage in the market in which they operate. In addition to analyzing the state of the art, this bachelor thesis also provides an evaluation of the questionnaire survey as well as a set of certain practice recommendations that should help to implement the principles of green business more quickly and effectively, while at the same time helping to break down the various barriers that prevent the introduction of green business in small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovakia.
