Making decisions is one of the key management functions and it is inseparably connected with managing. The company depends on the right decisions of its owners or managers. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the first part of the work we deal with theoretical issues of decision management and decision-making process. In the practical part we deal with pair comparison and point evaluation of suppliers. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to design a decision-making process in the selection of a supplier based on pairwise comparison of the specified criteria and subsequent utility analysis. At the end of the work, we draw attention to the drawbacks of the selection, the evaluations of suppliers and the design of solutions.
