This diploma thesis deals with the elaboration of a written document on explosion protection at a selected carpentry workroom. We prepare this document in accordance with the Regulation of the Government of the Slovak Republic 393/2006 of the Code of Minimum Requirements for Safety and Health at Work in an environment with a high risk of explosion. In the document, we characterized the operation, its space, used equipment such as a formatting saw, gluing machine, mobile suction devices, and coking machine. Mobile extraction devices are connected to a formatting saw and a gluing machine. Input materials include laminated chipboard LDTD, urea-formaldehyde board MDF, fiberboard DVD, jointing board, chipboard OSB and laminates that produce flammable dust. During the preparation of the document, we answered the questions listed in the assessment flow chart for the detection and prevention of explosion. We created a risk matrix for each production process, characterized the probability of the explosion occurrence and determined the consequences of the probable explosion. Based on these results of the risk matrix, we have developed technical and organizational measures to prevent the danger of explosion. The significane of established measures lies in the protection of human life and property.
