The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of reproduction of Juniperus communis L. based on vegetative reproduction using cuttings. These cuttings were taken from two maternal trees in two different locations of central Slovakia – Bacúch and Pohorelá. In this experiment two variants of cuttings were used for both locations. The first variant with Vetozen growth stimulator and the second one without it. 60 cuttings were established in each variant and a total of 240 cutting were used in the experiment. The rooting took place in greenhouse conditions. The theoretical part describes the morphology, the environment, noxious agents and the possibilities of propagating juniper (Juniperuscommunis L.) The second part of the thesis describes the methodology of the particular sampling locations, the research process itself and its outcomes. It proves that autovegetative propagation of juniper is not easy and achieves only negligible results in the rooting of cuttings. This is the reason why it is necessary to be further engaged in this problem.
