Ľubomír Bútora, PhD. Zvolen: Technical University in Zvolen, 2020The thesis is focused on an overview of the progress of damage caused by wild animals over the last decade. Based on the data sourced from the Information Bank of Data (IBUHL) on forestry, wood processing industry, hunting from the part of Hunting Statistics, we evaluated and compared the damage caused by ruminant cloven-hoofed game on forest lands and crops. Data on the number of quantified damages were collected from the period of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Another data used was the amount of paid damages for the same period of years. From the Information Bank of Data, as one of the possible causes of the development of damage by this game, we used the data on spring stocks of game and realized hunting of game for the period from 2008 to 2018 was used and subsequently compared.
