The aim of the thesis is the analysis of eco-innovations at the meso-level. At the beginning the autor examined the definition of eco-innovations. Based on synthesis of theroretical literature, author approximates the definition, typology and dimensions of eco-innovations. The practical part of thesis dealt with the overview of position of the eco-innovations in the economic policy in Slovak Republic and in the European Union. Further the author analyzes and compares the efficiency of eco-innovation in Slovak Republic in comparison to the European Union. The conclusion of practical part dealt with survey in Slovak companies about their relationship to eco-innovations at meso-level. The results point to many factors and barriers, which have a negative impact on development of innovations in Slovakia. At the end we introduce the proposals of survey respondents to support innovations at different companies.
