The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of the influence of thermal treatment and angular geometry of the tool on energy intensity during planar milling of thermally processed foreign wood Meranti. The first, theoretical part of the thesis, focuses on the definition of basic concepts related to this topic. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the heat treatment of wood, wood production and processing by milling. The next part deals with the methodology of work with a description of the preparation of experimental samples, a description of the experimental equipment and the described measurement conditions. The practical part of the thesis evaluates the individual effects of heat treatment of Meranti wood and tool geometry on the energy intensity of the process of planar milling. In the following parts of the thesis, there are the results and processed data and their evaluation using the program "STATISTICA 12". At the end of the thesis, there is the contribution to science and practice mentioned. The main goal of this thesis is to assess the influence of selected factors of the process of planar milling of grown and thermally treated foreign wood Meranti.
