The dissertation deals with the research of composite materials based on carbon fibers. At the beginning of the work is a study of mechanical properties of individual layers of composite structure. The layers with the best properties were subsequently used to produce multilayer carbon profiles with a circular and square cross-section. Static mechanical tests and FEM simulations were performed on these profiles to compare the results. In the next chapter, square profiles with longitudinal grooves with epoxy curing in vacuum and in shaped form were designed. Their mechanical properties are described by the results of experimental tests and the results of FEM analyzes. At the end of the work is a simulation of a carbon seat, which will be used in an off-road vehicle.
