The basic subject of my bachelor thesis is the design of a museum at once the conversionof the fortification system of Komárno in the locality Predmostie on the left bank of the river Váh, butalso the revitalization of the entire left bank of the Váh and the creation of a recreation area. Thedesign of the museum aims to make people aware of the cruelty of war, so that the exhibition willleave a very strong impression during the visit, to rethink the value of a peaceful world and the valueof non-violent life. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the topic of the Komárno fortress system,presents examples of fortresses and war museums around the world and their analysis using theNeufert Museum's operational scheme. The second chapter describes the goal of the bachelor thesis.The next chapters describe the particular design of the work in terms of architecture, statics, firesafety, technical equipment of buildings, transportation and from a structural point of view.
