This thesis deals with an issue relating to kraft pulp production in selected paper and pulp producing mill. In the thesis we appreciate risk rate based on technological process from the point of view of presence of selected dangerous matters. Comparison of risks was based on the analysis of manufacturing process of pulp by the sulphate method, the identification of raw material s and chemicals introduced into the process, and also the identification of undesirable substances exiting the process. The individual raw materials and chemicals were divided by organizational units of kraft pulp production. On the base of this identification and division were in particular paper and pulp producing mill identified places with heightened risk of presence of selected dangerous matters. The findings showed that in selected pulp and paper mill during the production of pulp by kraft process are used in some parts of production very hazardous chemicals and materials. Presence of these matters increase risk for human life and health together with danger of flammability followed by fire.
