The aim of this diploma thesis is to summarise all the knowledge about selection forests structures with the emphasis on the beech wood selection forest. The diploma thesis contains the analysis and evaluation of the chosen dendrometric features from the permanent experimental areas series /TVP/ with size of 50x50 metres which are farmly controlled by the selection barring. Permanent experimental areas were established in 1991 in beech wood 513 in age 70 years in the University forestry concern TU Zvolen. This diploma thesis analyses the diameter structure, the circular basis, the capacity of round wood and the wood species natural reproduction on the experimental areas. The results analysis approved higher repertory as the stacked model in this type of selection forest. The analysis of the natural reproduction on the transects confirmed, that the regeneration processes in selection forest are permanent and their formation runs in clusters. The migration of subjects to the category 20 cm and higher is dozy. The altitudinal migration in between particular layers is also dozy. The centric layer in comparison with the model is underdesigned. The selection barring realized in March 2019 admit the assumption of altitudinal trees transfer acceleration in the beech selection wood medium layer.
