The aim of this bachelor thesis was to point out the use of wood in anti-viral protection of the landscape. The work contains the general characteristics of the avalanches, their parts and conditions. From a safety point of view, we can include them as a life-threatening natural process that is regularly repeated in the Slovak Republic. The second chapter of the thesis focuses on the description of individual anti-flaw measures. There are hindrances in the work hurt, the construction material of which is wood. These buildings are also made from other materials, for example steel, aluminum, ferro-concrete. The last chapter summarizes the issue of using wood to build anti-flap barriers. Wood is one of the oldest and most popular natural building materials. Its physical, chemical and aesthetic properties are the desired material. It is not only of secondary importance in the construction of anti-vanguard barriers, but also of primary use in the form of planting stands in the threatened area.
