The aim of diploma thesis is to optimize the production system in selected company. The diploma thesis is focused on the bottleneck identification in the manufacturing company and consequent design of measures for increasing the flow through bottlenecks while unchanged or decreased production costs. Correct definition of bottlenecks based on the selected analytical strategy and the design of measures that can be subsequently applied to production processes are emphasised. As a product the aluminium strip which is part of the car's roof structure has been selected for analysis. Based on the analysis results the proposal for the bottlenecks removal in the processes chaining within the workplaces by focusing on both qualitative and capacity changing requirements of production has been created.
