The work is focused on creating an overview of properties of wooden building materials related to heat accumulation. In the first part are defined physical properties influencing the behavior of wooden buildings with changes in temperature conditions and influencing accumulation properties and thermal stability of buildings. In the next part there is an overview of commonly used materials and new materials with potential for use in wooden constructions with an overview of properties important from the point of view of heat accumulation.
