The goal of the elaborated thesis “Collisions in the District of Poltár” was to evaluate the socio-economic phenomena of nature protection, natural sources and other socio-economic phenomena and at the same time the collisions in the model territory were identified. The thesis is elaborated according to given layout and LANDEP methodology. Within the frame of the territory characterization abiotic and biotic conditions of the District of Poltár were processed. Within the frame of the analysis of the tertiary landscape structure the socio-economic phenomena were mapped, which result from the nature protection and protection of natural sources and other socio-economic phenomena. The socio-economic phenomena elements found out were transmitted into individual maps and through their superposition individual collisions were identified in the District of Poltár. The collisions identified in the model territory are the source of ecological and environmental problems.
