A number of factors negatively affecting the environment but also the person are caused by different conditions of the working environment together with the work done by human. Our bachelor thesis is focused on significant harmful factors of the working environment of the present day, which are noise and vibration, that directly affect the human body and its performance. The work, based on scientific scientific literature, analyzes the noise and vibration, describes their negative effects on humans. We also deal with methods of measuring and evaluating these negative factors as well as protecting the health of workers from this burden. There is also an overview of current legislation and guidelines in this area. At the end of the bachelor thesis we described and proposed methods of measuring noise and vibration in the company for the primary wood processing.
