The point of my diploma work is to determine out effect of thermal tratment wood, sliding speed and type of lumver for roughness surface of samples, which are created by CNC machine center with the tool shark cutter. The first chapter include characteristic of CNC. In the second chapter I described the tool. In third chapter i have devoted how that progress milling. The fourth chapter is about surface quality. Fitfth one is about sycamore maple. In the sixth chapter I have devoted on thermal modification with wood. The seventh chapter was devoted to the goal of my diploma. In the eight chapter i wrote about work methodology. The ninth chapter was directed to the results and evaluate work.Diploma work figuring out influences choosen termics edits of samples and roughness tops of samples, also finding out influence sliding speed by milling in the range from 1m. min-1 to 10 m. min-1 for roughness surface samples and finding out influence type of cut – tangentialy and radialy for roughness surface of samples. From the surface roughness measurements, I found that thermal treatment and sliding speed had an impact on the surface roughness of the samples, but the type of lumber does not affect the surface roughness of the samples.
