Submitted bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of the assessment of the hunting game management within the hunting ground Cerovo. The objective of the thesis was to assess the basic data on hunting grounds, to set the breeding goals and to evaluate their achievement for individual species of hunting game. The hunting ground was recognized in 1996 by the former forestry authority - Forestry Department in Zvolen. The total area of the hunting ground Cerovo is 3005 ha, of which agricultural land is 67%, forest land 28% and non-productive land 5%. The hunting ground is placed in the 1-st qualitative class, where the primary game is roe deer and secondary game are deer, mouflon, fallow deer and wild boar. The hunting ground is included to the hunting area S VIII Hontiansko – veľkokrtíšska and within this area to the breeding unit Zvolen. The Standard Game Numbers (SGN) are set for roe deer game 61 pieces, 40 pieces of mouflon, 25 pieces of wild boar, 18 pieces of fallow deer, and 12 pieces of deer. The subject of the assessment of the game hunting management within the hunting ground was 10 previous hunting seasons. The trophy quality analysis has shown that the hunting ground has the potential to produce a quality trophy game. Trophy values of individual species of game reached the medal value according to the C.I.C method as follows: for roe deer 6 pieces, for deer 28 pieces, for fallow deer 23 pieces, for mouflon 14 pieces and for wild boars 14 pieces.
