Assignment of final thesis was the architectural study to design a multifunctional building situated on a plot in the Crescenzago district of Milan, Italy. Part of the assignment is to propose an urban design of the site. Milan faces a new stage of development. By 2030, it will have more than 12,000 people over 85 years, while over 50,000 people will represent young people from 19 to 34 years old. The city's plan is looking for inclusive growth for all locations and all residents. The city needs a sustainable solution aimed at improving the quality of life of people living in Milan. The work is focused on one of the solved urban areas, named after the Crescenzago metro station, in line with the vision of #milano2030, aimed at rejuvenating and restoring urban areas. A gradual analysis of the area created an urban design that was based on the crossing of two major axes intersecting the territory. To strengthen the axes, an object located at the point of their collision was solved, where it creates the main node of housing and amenities for the area. The aim was to design a five-storey building, the first two above-ground floors of which would meet the civic amenities requirements that are lacking in the urban district. Subsequent three floors will focus on housing, which is designed for young families, socially weaker and older people, retirees. The shape of the building is quite simple, composed of blocks stacked on top of each other. The shape should accentuate the transverse axis through the land. The overall design is also solved with pedestrian or automobile connection to the land. The first part, the pre-diploma thesis was devoted to a comprehensive urban design. Subsequently, in the second part, an architectural study, a design of a multifunctional building was elaborated.
