This diploma thesis deals with the topic of suburban living. The proposal itself is an output of the collected analysis of a selected area, its specific problems, and the urban structures of satellite cities. It also explores exemplary solutions from foreign architects. The architectural study does not aim to solve problems, but it is an experiment, itself, to extend the offer of satellite city living solutions in Slovakia. The settlement structure is designed both in terms of spatial characteristics, and of the social behavior of the inhabitants. The experiment is mainly based on the program of a settlement cluster, which is based on principles of community living. The residential structure is complemented by a community house which offers a shared space for work, lessons, the sale of domestic products, or a café run by a local entrepreneur. There are various aspects that help to create a multifunctional use of the cluster, including the production and sale of domestic products, or a shared work space. Support of domestic products, business premises, or small cultural events, will increase the interaction of neighborhood residents. The smaller the anonymity rate, the greater the security of the territory. The experimental way of community housing was also created by the urban structure, which eliminates the need for a fence. The greenery in the city or the city in the green is another attribute of the open structure. Inhabitants with a positive attitude towards gardening take care of the "common" garden and all inhabitants can enjoy the surrounding greenery. A number of community living principles were applied in the diploma thesis with the main objective being to raise the quality of life in satellite cities.
