In my diploma thesis I dealt with the connection of work and living, together with other amenities necessary for the life of inhabitants within one building. The concept mainly targets people working from home and young entrepreneurs, whom the proposed building offers for rent a wide range of workplaces in addition to starter apartments. The site is located on Šancová street near the city centre. The content of the work was the analysis of the site and the subsequent processing of typological and architectural design. During the phase of creation I took into account the character of the surrounding development, which the building appropriately complements. The designed mass consists of three parts - the main mass, the lower associated mass and a separate building filling the strait in the existing built-up area. The main building houses in five-stories apartments, offices and studios for long-term rental, meeting rooms, workplaces for individuals and coworking spaces. Beside these workplaces, residents can also use the social and community areas on each floor. The building's facilities are mostly in the parterre and include a restaurant, bar, grocery store, laundry room and other facilities. Lower adjacent mass is mostly used for sport and its separate part is dedicated to kindergarten. Rental spaces suitable for administration or commercial facilities are placed in the five-floor building filling the existing void.
