4 ABSTRACT The thesis deals with a design of ice resurfacer which should move the perception of shape, respectively the general perception of design of this facility, including technical solutions as a product into the present time but also to the future. In particular it doesn't bring only new shape solutions of its fairing, but also innovation in the technical direction. The thesis deals with the issue of ice resurfacing since its history, through concrete existing functioning models, various variations of shape solutions, which moved the project to the final best solution. The evidence is the final visualization and real model in the scale of 1:7. It also elaborates the technical issue of design and the research in a required limit. The result of the thesis is the ice resurfacer, which should be a springboard for the inspiration in solving more design modifications of similar machines, whose shape functioning strictly subjects to the function.
