The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of structural explosion protection in a selected operation. The aim of the work is to evaluate the structural protection against explosion in a selected plant, sugar grinding, in a confectionery plant. Part of the technological process of confectionery production is the grinding of sugar. When grinding sugar, sugar dust is formed, which when mixed with air creates an explosive atmosphere. The degree of explosion hazard was defined by determining the frequency zones of the dusty environment. Establishment, sugar grinding was defined as an area with an increased risk of dust explosion. Both mills have HRD systems installed on the individual devices, supplemented by HRD barriers and explosion-proof dampers on the pipes. The evaluation of the design protection against explosion in the premises of the premises revealed that the measures taken ensure the safe operation of the equipment located in the area with a risk of explosion
