Rescue from heights is one of the main activities in the Fire and Rescue Corps. It is performed by climbing rescue groups, which are established by the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps in individual departments of the corps. Members of climbing groups must be physically and mentally fit and especially professionally trained to perform rescues. The aim of the thesis is to present a model situation for rescuing people from the cable car and explaining how this rescue is performed. Furthermore, the bachelor's thesis introduces the reader to the methodics, terminology, division, methods of rescue from heights and what technical and personal protective equipment are used to perform rescue from heights in partial goals. The goal was achieved based on the study of professional literature and legislation such as laws, decrees and methodological sheets concerning rescue from heights. The result is a presentation of a model situation and a method of intervention in rescuing people from the cable car, suggestion for possible changes in the age change of members of climbing groups and a suggestion for the possibility of cooperation with other units of the Integrated Rescue System in solving the rescue of people from heights.
