The bachelor's thesis is focused on design and technical trends of four-sided moulders and their available variants. In the first part, the work presents basic information about the general dividing of mouldering machines and the principle of their operation, wood processing on four-sided moulders and the use of four-sided moulders and also deals with their development of their construction. In the next part, the thesis presents currently produced models of four-sided milling cutters from European companies. From the available information, the thesis evaluates their technical parameters, the possibilities of their technical extensions to simplify working at them and increase the quality of final products. On the basis of the information, it firstly evaluates the technical development of four-sided moulders in general and then points out specific examples of innovations of four-sided moulders of European producers.
