The diploma thesis titled "The unfair practices in e-shops" focuses on the variety of fraudulent practices of online retailers and also highlights the lack of consumer readiness to protect themselves against them. The aim of our thesis was to draw the general comsumer´s attention to the risks of using e-shops in practice that were caused in the past and to teach them about the possibilities of protection against them.The thesis also deals with the issue of e-shops as such, who have not used this type of trade so far. For a broader insight into the field under review, we provide the reader with basic terms such as: consumer, seller, e-commerce.In the next part of the thesis, we define the deceptive practices of internet sellers. The practical part focuces on the knowledge level of the respondents in the given issue as well as their personal experience with purchasing via internet in the past. In the final phase of the thesis we interpret the results from the analysis of questionnaires and recommend to consumers the appropriate protection options for unfair business practices of internet vendors, including prevention in the future.
