The aim of this work was to point out that the shooting and filming of animals has a very important role to play in hunting and animal protection. The content of the work includes an explanation of what hunting tourism is, how it is divided and what its products are. Its main three products include watching the animals, which is directly related to game documentation. I devoted myself to hunting tourism in the world level first, where it is much better developed especially in the field of animals watching and later I focused on Slovakia, where this area is still not very developed. Filming and photographying animals is therefore an important part of hunting tourism and it is hiding a great potential for the future. In the next part of the thesis I discussed the theory of animals documentation, which means: I described the parameters and the distribution of photographic and film equipment, I went through the basics of photography and film theory and finally I summarized the experience of professional documentary filmmakers. In the following chapters, I have written my own knowledge which I have accumulated over more than 10 years of experience in shooting and filming. I have also shown that documenting animals has a very important role to play in animal research for a number of disciplines. The last aim of the thesis was to propose a model form of the cooperation between the documentarist and the hunting ground user. I have proposed a solution to how such cooperation can work and have listed a number of benefits that can come out of this cooperation for both sides.
