This work deals with the basic principles that apply to the design of collecting systems. It also includes a proposal of sewerage in Iľanovo by means of a divided sanitary sewer system at the length of 3,536 km, with a variant using reinforced concrete materials and stoneware. The theoretical part puts emphasis on fundamental methods and principles connected with the proposal of the sanitary sewer system. It also provides a basic overview of the materials that are currently used to build sanitary sewer systems. Moreover, the work includes the proposal of the sanitary sewer system, hydraulic engineering analysis and design of objects. Practical proposal, as an example of theoretical knowledge application is described in the drawings section that consists of an organized situation, a hydro technical situation, a construction situation, longitudinal sections of sewers and pattern of transverse profiles of stored pipes and objects for materials like reinforced concrete and stoneware. In Iľanovo there are proposed 121 shafts, 3 crossings of the creek Iľanovka that are kept in the protection conduit with DN 500 profile. The pipe diameter DN 300 is designed at the minimum slope of 6 permille and a maximum slope of 96 permille. All wastewater is led away by gravitation to the designated point of connection.
