The aim of my bachelor thesis was to revitalize the space of the Safarik square in Bratislava. This was achieved by relieving this space from traffic which is nowadays the dominant feature of the square and it inappropriately divides this space into two parts, as well as by unification of the whole space, removal of unaesthetic and dysfunctional elements and restoration of genius loci of this space. Methodical procedure contains analyses, architectonically-landscape resolution, construction project 1 and construction project 2, in both graphic as well as textual forms. The result of this work is a design where the space is united, the traffic adjusted, a harmonic environment for people is created and where one can gently and freely feel the history of the given place.
