I chose to redesign the pedestrian zone in Trenčín because public space such as square is essential for city itself. My goal was to offer people place where they can spend free time or work time with joy. The basis of whole concept is a line whick follows whole Hviezdoslavova street and the square. Simple parallel lines present order, give directions and make people move. Lines become curvy when something happens so people get to know it and make them want to try it or see it. Lines follow whole plan so they give good review of a space. Lines differ both in material and colour which give additional effect in terms of contrast. Main material is ecological coloured asphalt with plant ingredients. On the other hand lines are made of concrete with feeling of luxury black marble. Another significant element is lights. It is equal partner which comes up in dark. There are lamps with special design with seating built-in. LED walk-over light are used in floor. There are based in lines so they make same atmosphere with different feeling. Green areas are placed in specific places and they are ideal to rest with the touch of nature. Whole space is dominated with ground fountain which brings lightness, life, motion, sound.
