The discussed area of Žatevná street is located in the city part of Bratislava-Dúbravka in the district called "Stará Dúbravka". The aim of the task was a re-design of the street and a creation of a public area in the discussed area. The current functional and operable state of the environment, in which a two-way public transport line and a passenger transport line is located, is making the area chaotic. The new design should enhance visitation of the locals but mostly the people who are visiting the local bureau. The basic idea is to design a place with a plaza-like character, which will create a space for people gathering and to limit the traffic. The solution is: -to ease the traffic situation by limiting the car access, leaving only the public transport, - to create currently absent rest areas and to create the access to the gardens for the community amenities or to create the parking spaces in the nearby areas of the plaza -to create a possibility not only for relax but also for sport activites by creating an area for body exercise and a playground for kids -to design an environment where one can spend a nice time and find his favourite free-time activity which the new design offers
