Mixed use building Its a type of building, which joins two main functions. Living and services. The main function is living. It is separated from services spaces visualy, and acousticaly. My task was to create a mixed use building at Podunajská street in Podunajské Biskupice. The main idea was extracted from the site plan. There are a lot of other apartment houses and administration buildings. There is also not the best orientation, but the river Malý Dunaj is the main phenomenon on this site. I created a house with 6 floors and underground parking main oriented to the water. I shaped the facade for increasing the sunlight in apartments and covered it with complex shading system. Function created the architecture. Skelet is the main construction system created from reinforced concrete. My building stays on base bath because of the high of underground water.
