Mixed Use Building is located on Černockého Street in Krasňany, Bratislava. The site is surrounded by residential buildings, is located near the basic amenities, sports facilities and the location provides plenty of greenery. The main idea and aim of my proposal was an object that does not interfere with surrounding buildings and fits into the urban area. The Mixed Use Building is intended for long-term housing, with the flats of different categorization. There is a choice of starter flats as well as the apartments of a higher standard for families or upmarket buyers. The ground floor comprises of the large air conditioned space for commercial use which is available for rental. The main entrance to the building is through covered passages for each section separately. Unfavorable orientation of the plot is resolved with flats designed facing the two cardinal points - day rooms located on the south. My goal was to create a semi-private zone in the rear of the object, which gives residents space for rest and relaxation. The theme of building's ground floor has been visually light-weighted by the passages which induce transitions into this area from the street.
