The main objective of this thesis is to make a search on pedology research, which is the theoretical basis for the following detection of soil characteristics. It is devoted to detailed gradation analysis, hydrolimits, infiltration capacity and soil permeability. For selected interest area - vineyard in cadastral territory of the town Svätý Jur in which a field survey was done specific characteristics were specified such as infiltration capacity of the soil. From the data of climate and precipitation stations in the Slovenský Grob and Pezinok water needs balancing was processed, which includes the determination of the amount of irrigation water for the vineyards. The last chapter is about the evaluation of field trials, which are shown in the photos.
