My assignment consisted in creating an architectural study for a mountain cottage located in a mountainous enviroment in Kysuce north of Oščadnica.This object is designed for people who like spending time in the mountains. It can be used as a shelter for alpine hikers, skiers and ski enthusiasts, as it is near the ski resort of Veľká Rača Oščadnica. The distance to the ski slope is about 200 m. It can be also used as a temporary comfortable accommodation for families with small children or for retirees in a beautiful mountain enviroment with the possibility of taking excursions to the surrounding countryside. To increase the comfort of accommodation, guests will have a wellness area and a bar located directly in the cottage.The object provides a dining function in the form of a self-service dining room with a capacity of 100 seats and a bar with a capacity of 38 seats. The accommodation provides 24 double rooms, 1 apartment with two single beds and two temporary and tourist cozy rooms with twelve beds.The total mass, its placement in the space or materials has been adapted to the alpine environment in which the object is located.The interior layout of the building stems from its functional features and its orientation on the world sides. Since the object is located on a mountain ridge, from which landscapes are offered, I have adapted the layout to this fact as well.
