In the intruduction of diploma thesis the possibilities of cutting aluminum and other metals are designed, the cutting process is described and qualities of aluminum are defined. The practical part consist of complete structural design 3D CAD model of a circular saw with automatic metering system and some conceptual variants of the solution. Furthermore, the strength calculations needed for design of the saw, such as design of the electric motor power, the belt transfer design, the minimal spindel´s diameter, and the other control calculations. In conclusion, the technical - economical evaluation of the proposed circular saw is suggested.
