The award of this Bachelor´s thesis is the Art kindergarten. Awarded land issituated in the built-up areas of the city district Petržalka V., in the capital ofSlovakia Bratislava. Currently, this area is unused and not built on. The land isirregular in shape and it´s referred to has these boundaries: to the north with theCroatian river branch, to the west is flanked with the long main road and on thesouth, there is the building of the LIDL company.In relation to the location of the land in close proximity to the Croatian riverbranch and Veľký Draždiak and nearby to the dishonouring permanent livingquarters, it was necessary to create the architecture, which will actautonomous, but on the other hand it will be not the dominant building with itsimmediate surroundings.The main idea of the whole concept is to create own children world, whichprovides them appropriate environment for their research and development. Myinspiration for this design was the book Little Prince from Antoine de SaintExupéry. The mass of this Art kindergarten was shaped as „opened book“ and„flying planets“- two mutually perpendicular lines and circular floor plans ofindividual compartments. In these perpendicular lines the building alsoobserves street´s lines and reflects the character of the related buildings, on thecontrary, by its circular spaces it steadily becomes to the nature – to theCroatian river branch.The overall architecture of this kindergarten is the minimalist architecture. In theinterior design the wall relief of the paintings from the Little Prince stands out. Itis depicted with just the stroke of the plastic line on the white coating. The partsof the walls, made up of the translucent concrete, allow the light to penetratefurther to the interior spaces. The ceiling is design from the architecturalconcrete. Oblique direction of the laying wooden floors leads children directly tothe classes. In the exterior views are dominated the glazed parts of the roundedclasses facades, which reflected the surrounding greenery.
