The assignment of the bachelor thesis was to design a residence of the ambassador of unspecified/optional/discretionary country on the marked building lot, on the street Jančova, Bratislava with an area of 3426 m2. After thorough decision-making process and numerous analyzes, I decided to create the residence of Japanese Ambassador. Japan, along with Slovakia, is the only two countries in the world that, in proportion/ according to their size, hide/dispose of the largest number of natural landscapes in their territory. Therefore, I decided to use this parallel not only by choosing the country for which I proposed the residence, but also by design. My solution is based on Zen principles of Japanese culture, it gives the possibility of contact with nature, and it tries to bring the relationship between man and Earth closer once again. Moreover this concept is fully reflected in the design of the object and also in the material. The orientation, location or leveling of the building fully exploits the potential of the building lot and creates a sustainable architecture that is ready to face significant climate change in the upcoming decades. The residence consists of two main parts linked by closed road which leads through the winter garden. The first part - for the public, is situated in front of the property, easily accessible from the street. There is situated a small consular office, two apartments for employees, an entrance hall, a representative dining room linked to the garden, a kitchen and a representative lounge with high/numerous greenery in the interior. The design links the interior and exterior adequately. The architecture works with water and natural ventilation, creating a pleasant climate throughout the residence grounds. The second part - private, is located in the rear of the northern part of the land, but with its process layout it fully uses the trajectory of the sun all day long. The bachelor thesis contains three parts. The first part of the project is a project for the territorial procedure in the form of a study. The second part is the solution for the building permit and the third part focuses on the selected part of the pre-implementation project.
