The subject of the final bachelor thesis was the design of the Ambassador’s residence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with a small consular office and two apartments for the consulate staff at Jančova Street in Bratislava. The placing of the building on the site and its mass-spatial design result from the wider urban and spatial-composition context. The plot is located on the Bôrik hill, where many embassies of different countries are located. The plot overlooks the Danube and the hills in Austria, SNP Bridge, Bratislava Castle and Slavin. This fact has greatly affected the architecture of this project. Land area is 3 426 m2. In view of the more contained functions, the main goal was to design the object so that the functions follow each other and blend into one another, but they do not interfere with each other. The proposed object consists of three compositional units. The first one is the representative part of the residence, the second is the consular office altogether with two apartments for the consulate staff. These two units are interconnected by a representative entrance hall, thanks to which a spacious atrium has been created, enriching the representative spaces. The third unit, located on the first floor, is the private part of the residence - the Ambassador's apartment.
