The multifunctional gym is located in the city part of Bratislava - Nové Mesto. Layout areas are part of the CAŠ STU sports complex. The land has the shape of an irregular rectangle, from the south side it is in contact with the service traffic communication – Smikova street, which is connected to the main road – Račianska street, with direct connection to public transport. Object neighbors from the eastern side of the student home Mladá Garda and the rest of the sports complex occupies the northern side. There is a railway on the west side. On the land there is the greenery, sports fields and asphalt road. In small radius from the object, there are some restaurants, supermarket and utilities shops. The exterior of the building is paved area with some grassy spots for high greenery. The roof of the building is formed by intense greenery flowing smoothly into the surrounding terrain reached by landscape modification on the west side of the plot. The multifunctional gym building is designed on the perception of the surrounding landscape. It is not trying to dominate the space, but to become a part of it. Object is composed in a sensitive way into the surrounding hilly environment and tries not to disturb the surrounding architecture context. The core of the site is an athletic circuit. The building provides new space for sports and recreation for students and visitors all year round - a multifunctional gym, a climbing wall, a running tunnel, a fitness, a café. Also, an intensive green roof is usable in the warmer months. Dressing rooms and sanitary facilities are designed for the needs of the entire complex, thus expanding its capacity for events of various sizes.
