AbstractThe topic of my bachelor thesis was to design Mlada Garda multifunctional gymnasium located in Bratislava's New Town. In the design itself, I place importance on the given local program, territorial space regulations of the location, and the urban and architectural expression of the environment as well. My solution with the object is in accordance with the general requirements for sports facilities and I have also included the accessibility of all parts to disadvantaged people. The result of my work is offering easy service, simple segregation of the athlete and the viewer, high-quality playing area and last but not least unconventional mass-spatial rendering of the building whose silhouette completes the given environment.
