Diploma thesis is interested in issue of bark insect activation in forest areas, which were damaged by windthrow disasters. Area of forest range Povina was studied during research in years 2017 and 2018. Here was done trapping of bark beetles - Ips typographus, Pityogenes chalcographus and Ips duplicatus. Final results from research were analysed and evaluated. During research was done clasification and rating of health condition of spruce trees. Spruces samples were chosen close to pheromone trap and in bigger distance from trap. It was clasified in which degree of defoliation and decoloration are these trees, in addition to this review amount of bark sinkhole was count on bole area 20 cm² in high 1,3 m from ground. Here were some corrective and preventive actions proposed, which should help to stabilize forest ecosystems after windthrow disasters or bark beetle calamity. These should help to improve general health conditions in forests. It was found out that activation of bark insects is on high level in forest range Povina and it has calamity extension. Trees which are closer to pheromone traps are more in danger because of bark beetle attack.
