Peter Garaj, CSc., Zvolen 2020, 65 pages.The content of the diploma thesis is an evaluation of the management of the Magura hunting district in the district. Prievidza, we processed basic information on the characteristics and management of PS VPPR Magura, To which we also included general management in hunting in the Slovak Republic. In the diploma thesis, we analyze the data that were available in various publications, professional books, magazines, but also websites. It contains the results we achieved by research and statistics. It is an overview of information that has not yet been processed about the district and should serve as an aid to proper management and improvement of results in the future. On the contrary, we showed mistakes or shortcomings, which manifested themselves in poor management or often a poor level of knowledge of individual members. This work includes the opinion of the author, who commented on individual statistics, tables and verbally evaluated the attitude to these data. In this work, we also described the classification of the district into the hunting area and its characteristics.In conclusion, we mentioned the achievement and proposal of how to achieve breeding goals, improve the quality of the environment, the quality of life of game and the need to protect this game in order to reduce the percentage of danger to game that threatens it every day. Adherence to all measures using the results of this work could increase the quality of the environment, trophy quality and, for example, the quantity of roe deer.
